Sam came to pest work from cabinetmaking, where a joint either fits to the millimetre or it goes in the bin. That eye earns its keep on a roof. The gaps possums and rats use are small and easy to walk past, and the whole job is spotting the one that matters and closing it clean. He's the newest on the crew and learning the possum side off Mitch and Dex, but the fussiness about a tight, tidy finish was already there when he turned up.
