Possum
Possum in the roof this winter? Start with the noise, not the season
Winter roof noise in Melbourne is often a brushtail possum, but light scratching can be rats or mice, and ringtails do enter roofs too. Identify the animal, find the entry, use a one-way door, then seal properly. Foam is not proofing.
Rodents
Rats or mice in the house this winter? Follow the evidence
Winter does not invent a rodent problem on its own. Follow the signs, clear food and shelter, rule out possums before baiting a roof, then treat in lockable stations and seal the entry points.
